Georgia Farman - Modern Sculpture - Albert Paley, Artist

This design interprets the work of Artist, Albert Paley, who worked with prefabricated steel, copper and glass.  He is known for his many modern sculptures.  The design uses a bronzed metal free-standing sculpture by Betty Zink.  I added copper tubing and two pieces of shiny black plexi.  Finishing the design are cattails, dried bronzed banana leaves and a large-flowering cactus type dahlia.  This design welcomes guests at the entrance way of my home in Tacoma WA.

Georgia Farman - Construction

This design interprets the "Constructivist's" era of design circa early 1900's.  The design uses five pieces of clear plexi and two plexi whips.  The plexi pieces are fastened together using double-coated transparent tape and placed on a mirrored base. Dried hydrangea and a pink Stargazer Lily complete this Construction.  I enjoyed creating this art form with all its simplicity of style.
