Next meeting is Tuesday, October 4, at Headquarters House in Seattle at 10:30 am. This year we will focus on NW artists. There is a wonderful exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum featuring public works from various buildings around town. The exhibit is free. I will bring the free catalogue of items, listed by decade, including artist names. For this October 4 meeting I choose Jacob Lawrence as the artist. Known for his bold use of color and form, let him inspire you.
DO LET ME KNOW IF YOU WILL ATTEND THE MEETING.
There is a centerpiece request from Jeanette Pruin, 2013 NGC Convention Chairman, that each guild bring a design prototype to the state holiday show in November. If you wish, bring a creative centerpiece design suitable for a large round table that seats 10 at the NGC Convention RainShine. Design should be classy and inexpensive. It can be short, below eye level...or tall, above eye level. Jeanette reports there are 3 lunches and 3 dinners and about 50 centerpieces will be needed for each meal. Janel Garnett and I had many ideas yesterday.
